Church Going
by Andrew Ziminski

Hello, my name is Andrew Ziminski, and for the past four decades, I have worked as a church Stonemason on projects throughout Southern Britain.

I'm also an author, and building on the critical acclaim for my first book, The Stonemason, I have written another, Church Going, which will be a helpful handbook for those who like to go on a 'Church Crawl'.
I'm based in Frome, Somerset and am a former SPAB Trustee, a William Morris Craft Fellow, a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries, and a specialist advisor to the Salisbury Diocesan Advisory Committee for the care of Churches.

I've been pleased with the response to Church Going, which was a 'Book of the Year' in The Times, The Telegraph, The Church Times, and BBC History Magazine.
'Joyous and illuminating' - Sir Tony Robinson.
'A beautiful book - in which curiosity, hand-skill and creativity combine in a hymn to craftsmanship, and vernacular and sacred architecture'. Ziminski is a rare and wonderful voice' - Rory Stewart.
Below is an interactive map to help you find the churches mentioned in Church Going.
I've given many book talks now, so do get in touch if you would like me to speak at your book festival or event.
